The Town of Foxborough, located at the intersections of Interstates 95 and 495, is known by its residents as “the Gem of Norfolk County”. Foxborough is in the beginning phases of piloting an MBTA commuter rail service to Boston, which will increase its attractive location for Boston commuters.
Foxborough Public Schools offers three elementary schools, each with the option of full or half day Kindergarten, a middle school starting at Grade 5-8 and then Foxborough High School for Grades 9-12. The Foxborough Charter School is also a , K-12 school which enrolls up to 1,700 students from 20 neighboring communities. Enrollment is based on a public lottery for applicants of the school. Foxborough is also a member of the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton.
Even though Foxborough prides itself on its image and sense of community, Foxborough is the host of Gillette Stadium which is the home of the New England Patriots and the New England Revolution Soccer Team. Concerts and other events take place during the warm weather at the stadium.
